Eagles of the Republic (2025) DVD (svensk text)

Tarik Salehs Eagles of the Republic, starring Fares Fares in a commanding turn, delivers a sharp political thriller set in the heart of Egypts propaganda machine. As one of the most ambitious Arabic-language productions of its time, the film explores how fame, power and complicity collide when a top actor is coerced into glorifying a dictatorial regime. With haunting visuals and Alexandre Desplats resonant score, it closes Salehs acclaimed Cairo trilogy and firmly stakes Swedens bid for the Best International Feature Oscar.Från IMDB: Egypts most adored actor, George Fahmy, falls into disgrace with the authorities overnight.
