In 'Breakdance - The Movie' Kelly (Lucinda Dickey) is a dance student who has grown restless with the tired old techniques her teachers are offering her. When she meets street kids Ozone (Adolpo Quinones) and Turbo (Michael Chambers), she gets introduced to breakdancing and realises that this is exactly what she has been looking for. Together, they then try to put on a show. Whilst in the sequel 'Breakdance 2' Kelly, Ozone and Turbo return for more hip-hop action. The trio are now helping out at a community centre, teaching dance moves to the kids and generally bringing a bit of joy to the neighbourhood. When they hear that a capitalist developer has plans to bulldoze the centre in order to make way for a shopping mall, they decide to take a stand and set about proving once again that breakdancing can triumph over adversity!
